The Tesla Model S is a pure electric car that first went on sale in 2012.
Model S variant first electric car to travel 647 kilometers on single charge.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced Tesla Model S Long Range Plus has became the first-ever electric vehicle to receive Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) range rating of 402 miles (647 kms).
Since that time its basic shape has remained the same light stylistic updates have kept it fresh but foundational functionality is largely unchanged.
This is the Tesla Model S is actually a long-range version B 100 D. So it is super awesome again.
2.Power & Equipment
Anyway, that’s an impressive though because actually believe it or not.
- There is the electric motor that powers the rear wheels.
- 402 miles (647 km) on a full charge.
- 0-60 acceleration in barely more than 4 seconds. That’s quick.
- It has 510 horsepower,
So which is getting on for what you get from a 5.2 liter V10 in an Audi R8.
It turns out electric torque plus all-wheel-drive equals the perfect solution for maximum acceleration from a stop.
You might notice other details like a lack of engine noise ride quality that is decent.
So if you are looking at S or A model 3 definitely take a look at some of the performance, that Tesla is absolutely amazing.
There’s no start button. You just sit down put your foot on the brake.
press the stock and drive away. Ideally closing the door first and virtually all vehicle controls are handled.
This is a charger so we’ll just take a look and here if I need to stop at a charging station.
And it’s not a Tesla Supercharger.
I have adapters here. So this is an adapter that I can use that other EV stations and then here is the Tesla wall charger.
And this I can actually use at home just plug it into any regular electrical Port now the thing with this is it charged charges super slow.
3.Interior & Exterior
This is the option that I went with its kind of like they call it a metallic silver or metallic gray color. It’s super cool. I honestly love it.
So in the car, it is very spacious. And what’s interesting about this Model S is I have the premium package. So I have full leather seats,
But then I also have carpet in the middle now Tesla actually stopped this design.
They do not do this anymore because it was too expensive for them to develop.
So when you’re inside a Model S. It’s pretty much all the same experience no matter which model you get.
But the reason I got a Model A, so For the model 3 is because of the, here I love the front and what I have displayed here is my music on the left hand side in the middle.
When I’m driving. I have the speedometer and the autopilot data and then on the right-hand side is the energy consumption.
so I can just see how much energy I’m using on the bottom left here.
So that’s pretty cool. And I really love the display of this front.
I hope they don’t get rid of it in the future.
But it’s one of my favorite features here. Now. Another favorite feature of mine is the big display here.
We have the premium package inside the car. So we have the lighting inside so I have ambient lighting. That’s really cool.
It looks nice in the dark. And yeah, it’s just LED lights kind of underneath the door here where you can see around when it’s dark now.
It has a package where you can make seat warmers and all that jazz. And then I also have the steering wheel will actually heat as well.
Now, let’s take a look at the middle section here.
There’s a lot more room as you can see just because it does not have a gear knob or a lever or anything like that.
Well, this is awesome. So all the cameras that you see around the car actually.
So up here on the main controls, I have what is called dashcam so if you tap this button.
And if I’m in an accident or anything like that, I can go ahead tap that and it records the last 10 minutes of footage from the vehicle in all angles.
So that is super cool really helpful and I don’t have to stick like an ugly dashcam right here and kind of ruin the look of the car.
So that’s super awesome.
But the one thing that I absolutely love is autopilot. So when that comes out autopilot will be even better in this car,
But just on freeways and some longer roads for now in the city autopilot works like an absolute.
And you can hands-down have to admit super Awesome experience. Also, self-parking is pretty features, too.
Since every Model S leaves the factory with an array of eight cameras, then again specific parking sensors and a highly skilled automatic parking system.
4.Price & Features
You can stand a Model S standard range for a touch of more than 80,000 dollars including $1,200 in destination charges.
That price includes 19-inch wheels a faux leather interior and eight-year unlimited mile battery and Drive Unit warranty.
With an extra four thousand dollars with the high Range model right about $100,000.
You can move up to the model S performance offering an estimated 315-mile range and 0 to 60 in 3 seconds.
You can plug into a regular wall outlet.
But a more practical solution is overnight charging with a 240-volt home charger for longer Journeys.
Tesla offers a vast supercharging infrastructure with charging stations pretty much anywhere.
This is a Tesla Model S. And just like my mobile phone is powered by a lithium-ion battery.
It’s just that the batteries in that car can hold about 7,000 times the charge that my mobile phone can and as a result. It’s really powerful.
You can charge the car up and you want to go to want to test the superchargers and they can recharge the batteries to 80% in just 45 minutes though.
So you might have to use some of the charging methods which aren’t as quick and let’s be honest.
Anyway, 45 minutes waiting for your car to charge is a lot longer than just filling it up with petrol.
Well, I can’t complain about though is the fact that by not having petrol or diesel engine.
The Tesla Model S is a very nice car to drive and it’s relaxing to thanks to its comfortable suspension.
However, it does have some annoying features even tried to call using a normal 3 pin socket then it’ll only add 22 miles of range for every hour charged. So yeah, it’s okay.
This model S travel 647 kilometers on single charge.
The car remembers where that is and will automatically do it for you the next time in the same location.
The advanced control autopilot system will automatically brake accelerate and steal the car to keep it in line when you drive on the motorway.
Well, if an electric car doesn’t suit your lifestyle just avoid it it’s going to be pointless.
But if it does and you can afford it just go right ahead and buy the model S.
There is nothing else like it and they’ll even lock itself when you walk away. It’s brilliant. I hope you would like this article. please share it.
